Aley Mitchell is a photographer based in New York City, currently studying at Parsons School of Design. Her work reflects on the complexities of the Black experience through both fashion and documentary portraiture. From a very young age, she was inspired by the authenticity of the Black figures in her life, and instantly felt compelled to document this authenticity. Using various social and cultural examinations to inspire her work, she hopes to allow viewers to be transported into the world of her images.
